secrets to healthy skin

skin care secrets
I have often had people ask me, what type of skin care regimen that I use on my skin. I am forty seven years old; wow! that sounds old, when you type it outloud. But, like it or not, I am forty seven years old. I have always tried to be very cautious with my skin, since I was very young. I am fair complected, so I always try to wear sunscreen. But, the best advice I could give is to never go to bed without cleansing your face. I use a gentle exfoliating cleanser; carefully removing all makeup, then rinsing my face with luke warm water. Once or twice a week, I apply a thin layer of vaseline on my face, neck and chest; I leave the vaseline on for 15 minutes, then cover the applied area with a warm wash cloth. After doing this several times, gently remove the vaseline. Be careful not to use too much vaseline, or too often, for this could clog pores.
For over fifteen years, I have used Neutrogena moisturizer. I find it to be very light and it also contains SPF 15. It goes on smooth, which makes it easy to apply your makeup. I also, apply olive oil or grapeseed oil to my skin at bedtime several times a week in place of the Neutrogena moisturizer, but use the moisturizer during the day. Again, I would be careful of using the oils too often, in fear of clogging your pores, especially if you have oily skin. I have normal skin and I have had no issues with clogged pores; but you need to judge this by your own skin type.
Of course environmental factors and personal choices also come into play, when it comes to your skin. I have never smoked; I drink only moderately, wear suncreen, I try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water and exercise. Taking vitamins is also a huge factor, especially if your one, who doesn't like to eat fruits and vegetables. Some vitamins that I would suggest would be a good multi vitamin and vitamins E and C, always taking only the recommended daily dosage. Taking care of yourself internally is just as important as taking care of yourself externally; the way you treat your body, will show on your skin. I hope these simple tips can help you have healthy skin.

Good tips. I think staying clean and moisturized so basically I do agree.
